Ella Emhoff, the 25-year-old stepdaughter of Vice President Kamala Harris, has found herself at the center of yet another social media storm after her appearance at the Democratic National Convention (DNC).
She was torched for both her attire, and her “weird” behavior towards her dad.
The budding model, who has been making personal moves in the fashion industry, was spotted supporting her stepmother at the event on Monday evening alongside first gentleman Doug Emhoff, 59.
Ella’s simple white ensemble, which included a plain T-shirt, matching dress pants, and a viral Harris-Waltz camo cap, was quickly criticized by some online.
Daily Mail reported that one user said it looked like Ella hadn’t “cleaned up for the event,” while another branded her outfit as “trashy.”
What really got the internet divided, though, was Doug Emhoff’s sign of affection towards Ella during the event.
A photo shared by TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk showed Ella and Doug standing together with his hand placed on her waist, prompting a debate over the interaction.
